We are a composite school offering diversified academic and technological programs for grades 9 through 12 that include; Special Education, Traditional Technology, and a strong Arts program including dance and theatre arts.

We run a Breakfast Club at Bowmanville that welcomes any students or staff who may not have had time for a nutritious meal at the start of the day. It operates daily out of room 165 from 8:00-8:20 a.m. Get free food and a warm welcome to start the day off right.

Our student population is approximately 1100 BHS students with roughly 70 teachers. In addition we have one Principal, two Vice-principals, a Mental Health Child and Youth Worker promoting mentally healthy schools, a Student Retention counsellor, administrative assistants and custodians.
